KLB School Email Service
General information on the KLB email service:
All pupils automatically have an Internet based
email account using the SouthWest Grid for
Learning email service.
This is a web-based email service so you
can access your email from
any computer in the world that has Internet access. Just log
from the KLB school homepage.
Your account
has 20 MB of storage space.
This means you can use your
email account to store files by sending them to yourself as an
attachment.
You can then download the files at home or school,
whenever you need them.
Accessing your email account:
To access your email account, you will use the
same username and password as you use to access the school network.
These details are given to you at the beginning of Year 7. If you join KLB
school later in the year then please see your ICT teacher so an email account
can be set up.
Help with the KLB email
service:
For help with your email account,
log on to your account than click on the Help icon on the main toolbar. This Help section explains how to:
- Create a new email message
- View email that has been sent to you
- Reply to an email
- Forward an email to someone else
- Move and copy emails to different folders
- Manage your address book
- Set up a signature
- Add attachments
If you can log onto your email account but have
not
been receiving any email: check that you have not gone over your
20 MB limit. Remember to delete files from your OUTBOX folder and
the DELETED folder if you are running out of space.
