Comments: Left the 6th form in 1985 & went on to complete a sports degree. Passed officer training in 1988, then joined the RAF Regiment. Have served frequently in Northern Ireland, but also in the USA, Belize, Bosnia, Cyprus, the Gulf & Oman. Now whenever I come home on leave, which these days is more & more infrequently, I still remember the fun we had at KLB. The 'class of 85' reunion a few years ago was fantastic - all thanks to Belinda Hutchings. Now running a Freefall Parachute Display Team called 'The Falling Rocks' (Most of the team are from my Regiment) & I spend most of my spare time organizing displays for the Summer and training for the displays themselves.

Comments: I left KLB Sixth Form in 2000, very glad that I decided to stay at KLB to do my A-Levels. Special thanks to Mrs Matthews for getting me through GCSE Math's, A-Level Math's AND Further Math's! I'm doing a masters degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Bath, so in hindsight A-Level Further Math's wasn't such a bad idea after all! Bath is a fantastic city to be a student in - extremely friendly atmosphere.

Comments: What a fantastic opportunity for old pals to get back together again! I left the 6th form in 1991, went to Uni. and studied Accountancy - (Mr Carter will have a fit at that - I was hopeless at mathematics!!) - Mrs Williams, if you haven't retired I hope you're proud!! I now work for the publishers, Emap, as their HR Director (so there you go Mr Carter - ended up doing people stuff, as opposed to numbers - you were right all along!) It would be great to hear from any old pals or teachers!?

Comments: Left in the balmy summer of `86 and have spent the last 15 years or so trying to do as little as possible (no change there then). Just thought it would be nice to have someone on the site who's not a rocket scientist/brain surgeon/lawyer (sorry to all the teachers who probably had such high hopes). Have been in various jobs since school; land surveying, architecture practice, draughtsman, m/cycle courier, m/cycle instructor, am currently working in a m/cycle shop (you may have spotted a common theme). P.S. If anyone wants to give me a job as a rocket scientist etc I'm sure I'd be OK!

Comments: I left in 1989, I am married to Tim and I have two children Jack 4, Amy 2. Living in Wotton and working in Wotton for Lloyds TSB. I am still in contact with Sarah Meredith, she was my bridesmaid! It would be great to hear from anyone who remembers me, if you do, poor you!

Comments: Good 'ay blue! I've seen some names I recognise so I thought I would join in too! I left in 1998 and I'm now at Loughborough University School of Art and Design studying Sculpture. After considerable hair loss and partying I will finish in June 02 (that's the plan anyway!) Hi to the art department, especially Mrs Pinch!!!! Comments: Hello! I left the VIth form in 2000 & I bet the place has been a lot quieter since! I had a superb time at KLB and would recommend it to anyone (especially Ten Tors with Mr Kerr). I miss is loads but have progressed to studying film, TV (yes TV) and Spanish at Aber, after taking a year out. I still laugh lots.

Comments: I left in June 2001 after several excellent years at KLB with many good memories including Mr Penman's English lessons and the 6th Form's D.T. trips to Madrid and Paris. Currently at U.W.E studying BSc in geography with education and teaching! Would be lovely to hear from anyone who remembers me to catch up on news! Take care... x

Comments: How strange to have been talking about old school mates only last weekend then to bump into this site when looking for something totally unrelated. It's great to see some names that I recognise and to read the few lines they've written saying they're well. For those who remember me here's my story. Finished the sixth form in the summer of 1993, started at Surrey University that autumn graduating a Chemical Engineer in 1997, joined BP in 1997, bought a house in 1998 and got married in 1999. All in all I have had and I am having a good time and hope you all are too :-)

Comments: Whilst surfing the WWW I surprisingly came across the KLB web page, After flicking through I noticed some familiar names, (Hi Ali S. Armagh 98 tour NI). Just to give some background on myself after leaving school, sometimes regrettably, back in 89 @ 16 I joined the Junior Infantry Battalion in Folkestone Kent, which then led me to 1 Glosters. in mid 90 where I embarked on many tours, postings and exercises including America, Canada, Belize, Mexico, France, Germany, Switzerland, Cyprus, Bosnia, Kuwait, Botswana, Maldives, Kosovo and of course many tours of N. Ireland where I am currently posted and employed as a rifle Platoon Sergeant in 1 RGBW, moving to London by Mid April 02. I would very much like to hear from any old friends or people I have unfortunately lost touch with, any reunions? Vaughan.

Some memories come back; The fearsome (but wonderful) Jenny Wren, Billy Bowers, John West, Liz Atkin's parties, my best friend through KLB (Jenni Brown), reports ("could try harder"), Mel, Jackie, Fran, Garry, writing all over our blazers (why did we do that?!), cramming for O-levels... it hardly seems like 25 years ago. If any one fancies a chat about old friends and past memories please get in touch.  Me, well I have just got married for the second time, have two teenage children who are at KLB and I'm a nurse working in care of the elderly. I still drink at the Tavern in Charfield and I'm still in touch with a few friends.

Comments: Any one who has joined any of the three armed services since leaving 1984 please contact me. Whilst in Northern Ireland (1999) there were at least 5 ex. KLB pupils ironically enough in the same location all with different units & branches of service. I am interested to see if people have been in same areas as myself on more than this one occasion.

Comments: Just wondered if some old school chums were out there? Didn't find a soul... Mixed memories of KLB, Left in 1977. Did much better when I did, with the faith and wisdom of a few good teachers behind me... Having travelled the world and now happily married with a little boy and settled in the San Francisco area. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers me.

Comments: Currently travelling and working my way around Australia, I left KLB Sixth Form in 1992. After graduating from Plymouth (LLB Hons Law with French) in '95, I left England for a lifelong trip overseas... 18 months living in Paris; 3 1/2 years resident in Hong Kong and lots of travelling in between. Comments: Happened on this site when I should be working. Left in 1984 - went to reunion the year before last but didn't really get a chance to talk to many people so if anyone remembers me and wants a proper chat, get in touch. In case anyone is interested (ex-teachers!) - career wise, I got a degree in Applied Biology, did research for ~5 years, then joined the Health and Safety Executive and am now a Specialist Health and Safety Inspector (Microbiology) - see, all that science has paid off.

I left in 1982 - joining the Royal Navy a year later and still there now - Careers Officer told me to steer clear of a job that required discipline!!!!!!!! I have many memories of Wotton/KLBS. No doubt there are many changes in the town and a complete turn around of teachers, good to see so many fond memories of Miss Wren!!! 4 years in her tutor group and still alive to tell the tale!!!!!!!!

Many thanks to them (they know who they are!) for supporting me after finding out about my 'double life'! Comments: I know I've signed this before, come to think of it I even wrote an earlier version of this site, but if anyone's interested I am co-curating a multi-disciplinary art exhibition in The Lounge Gallery, Swansea in April. I ran for a full-time sabbatical as president of my college's Students' Union last week but was beaten by a lousy nine votes so I guess I'm going to have to be a fine artist when I graduate after all. Comments: Just goes to show how up-to-date I am when I have to use my sister's computer!! (she is still at KLB some 10 years after I left in 1991!!). She introduced me to the site and it was quite a blast from the past, I would be glad to hear from anyone who vaguely remembers me. I'm currently swotting for my sergeants exams, being a P.C in the Avon and Somerset constabulary (yes, I know, who'd have thought it). I'm at Bridewell nick, which for those of my generation is opposite Odyssey's and near the Bierkeller (those legendary 6th form parties!). P.S. who's sorting out the re-union??!

Comments: Friend told me that you at last got a web site together so I decided to surf on in and check it out! Very impressed, it would be nice to see more of the old school on board though, good to see the old boy Mr. Law pop in and have a look round, I will spread the word!! Well I left KLB in 1993, after a very enjoyable sixth form, I think it's got to be said that 7 years spent in this corner of the universe was the best years of my life, still in touch with the main group of friends e.g. Gary Ball (Saccy), Adam Philpott, Steve and Lawrence Benton, John Weedon, James Mitcham (big up's to the KP), Katie and Lucy Britten, to mention but a few. I work at Hewlett Packard at the moment, and I live in Bristol, but often call back to Wotton to visit various people. Also notice that the school has taken on bit of a face lift as well, I will call in and have a look round at some point! If anyone knows the whereabouts of Steven Powell let us know! Comments: Hi! Just browsing the web looking for stuff to help me write my essay and noticed the KLB motto (that Latin phrase seems to stick in your head!) The web site is great, hopefully some old friends will read this and get in contact. Since leaving KLB I have been studying in Exmouth, Devon to become a primary school teacher. I am in my 4th year now- which means I graduate in July (finally). When I'm not in Exmouth I live with my fiancé in Falmouth, which is a lovely sea-side town in Cornwall.
