Tasks:

In common with all AS subjects, five specific tasks have to be completed at the rate of one per week over the first five weeks of the Autumn term

Software:

Pupils intending to follow this course from September need to become very familiar with using the following software at an advanced level:

• MS PowerPoint 2000 (Needed in order that students can prepare and deliver presentations to the group)
• MS Excel 2000 (Needed for the AS coursework element)
• MS Access 2000 (Needed in order to understand the design of relational databases and for the A2 coursework element)

Class sets of advanced level independent study guides have been purchased to help students develop their skills in using MS Excel 2000 and MS Access 2000. A proportion of the Autumn term will be devoted to working through the the MS Excel textbook as preperation for the Module 3 coursework.
