GCSE ICT Theory Notes (OCR examination board)

The GCSE ICT course (OCR code 1994) is made up of 4 units: 5.1  5.2  5.3 and 5.4
NOTE: The GCSE ICT short course is made up of units 5.1 and 5.2.

5.1  Computer Systems, Communications Technology and Information Management

Assessment of unit 5.1 will be through examination.

5.2 Practical Skills and Understanding relating to the use of ICT Applications

The main part of unit 5.2 will be assessed through coursework projects 1a and 1b.
Assessment of the more theoretical issues will be through examination.

5.3  ICT Applications, Systems, Networks and Computer Technology

Assessment of unit 5.3 will be through examination.

5.4 Problem Solving using ICT

The main part of unit 5.4 will be assessed through coursework project 2.
Assessment of the more theoretical issues will be through examination.
