Gold is a metal which is shiny & has a yellow colour. Gold is a fairly unreactive metal, but reacts with fluorine. Gold is a metal which is very easy to make into different shapes & is often used to make jewellely. Gold is a very soft metal & has a melting point of 1064.43 degrees celsius. It has a boiling point of 2857 degrees celsius. Gold can be found pure or combined with other elements.
Gold was found in California in 1848. Thousands of people rushed to California to seek their fortunes. Gold has always had a strong attraction to man, these attractions with gold made man try & make a cheaper metal with the same propities as gold. Gold can be found in small quanties in rivers & in many rocks.
