Mercury (Hg)
Mercury or (Hg) has 80 protons and 202 neutrons and protons and was named Mercury after the Roman messenger of the Gods. It was called this because it runs fast. Mercury has a boiling point of 357 oC and melting point of -38.84 oC.
Mercury has been around since ancient times and
is 68th most abundant in the earth's crust. The Mercury compound is
crystalline, ductile, malleable and very soft.
