Akiko Tanaka is our Japanese assistant. She works with our own Japanese classes and visits local primary schools to help foster an interest in the language and culture of Japan. Akiko has been here since April 2000. Sarah

In September we received a party of 9 young Japanese teachers who spent some of their day with a Year 9 Japanese class. The teachers were paired with our pupils. Taking turns, the adults and pupils interviewed each other in Japanese to find out more about each other.
Akiko has also helped produce a range of
