Business Education Teaching:
Business Studies is offered as an option at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5, with Economics also being an option at Key Stage 5.
Key Stage 3:
The department is involved in helping with the delivery of Enterprise activities with Year 8 & Year 9 pupils.
Key Stage 4:
The following are available as Key Stage 4 options:
- GCSE - Business Studies (AQA Examination Board)
- BTEC Level 2 in Business - (Edexcel Examination Board)
Key Stage 5:
The following are available as Key Stage 5 options:
- A level - Business Studies (AQA Examination Board)
- A Level - Economics (AQA Examination Board)
- BTEC Level 3 in Business. (Edexcel Examination Board)
Over and above these curriculum options, the department is keen to allow the students to develop a deeper understanding of the business world through competitions and activities such as The Student Investor challenge, Target 2.0 (an economics competition run by the Bank of England) and Young Enterprise.
