Design a Logo Competition

Congratulations to Laura Burns in Year 9, winner of Secondary School category in the "Design a Logo Competition" for Wotton-under-Edge Community Sports Foundation. Laura won £50 for herself and £100 for sports equipment for the school.

The Foundation is in the process of applying for Lottery Funding to extend sports facilites for the growing community and in particular to encourage future generations to participate by providing ample space and quality surfaces for competition level sport.

There is an exhibition of pupils' entries in the foyer area at KLB. Thank you to all who entered. The quality of designs was impressive throughout. Shortlisted pupils: Rebecca Low, Rachael Barker, Sarah Plant, Jennie McKenzie.

The Design Criteria

  • A competition to design a logo that will be used on all our publicity material and notepaper.
  • It should be clear for reprographic transfer and enlargement/reduction.
  • It should take into account the major sports represented by the Sports Foundation.
  • It should be a genuine work of art.
