02/03/09 - A new computer has now been installed and the weather station
reactivated.
02/09/08 - The existing computer has not had the specification needed to
run on the upgraded network so the weather station will be inactive until
early 2009.
01/05/08 - Access problems getting onto the school roof mean the weather
station is unlikely to be active until mid-June 2008.
24/12/07 - The link seems to be working occasionally - during daylight
hours. There may be an issue with the battery not holding charge or
not recharging enough from the solar cell.
12/12/07 - The wireless link between the weather station and the computer
seems to have failed so no readings can be collected. The weather
station will be checked as soon as it is possible to get access to the roof
but this is unlikely to happen until early 2008.
1/09/07 - The pressure sensor seems to have failed over the summer.
Unlikely to be fixed in the short term due to costs. The graphics will
be left on for the time being.
22/02/07 - Ongoing issues with our new proxy server blocking updates
should be solved this week.
16/02/07 - The data logger power supply was accidentally unplugged and
this was not noticed until the battery ran flat so unfortunately a week or so
of data was lost over half term.
26/01/07 - Weather station software moved to a newer PC to address speed
and clock issues. Movie feature removed. Just noticed the units have
switched to imperial! To be fixed on Monday!
8/12/06 - All pages now formatted to match the remainder of the website.
Movie link removed for the time being.
2/9/06 - The webcam movie is not available at the moment - service will be
resumed or the page removed as soon as possible.
12/5/06 - Apologies to all those who have been trying to access the site
over the last few weeks,
our ISP decided to move servers without warning and completely messed it up so
we have been unable to update anything since the 20th of April.
Everything now seems to be working and no data was actually
lost thanks to the data logger. Thanks for everyone's patience, especially on the Wotton
Discussion Board!
22/9/05 - UPS installed.
15/8/05 - Weather station PC restarted - no data lost from the data
logger. Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) to be purchased to try and
avoid further loss of service.
28/7/05 - Weather station PC turned off again, building work
interrupting the power supply. The weather station will be offline until
it is restarted. Apologies to all those using
this service.
25/7/05 - Weather station PC restarted. Data-logger batteries ran
flat while the power was off so 2 days of data lost.
22/7/05 - Weather station PC turned off by mistake (end of term). It
will be restarted on Monday 25th.
