Abacus day nursery Work Experience

For my work experience I worked at Abacus day nursery for children aged 6 months - 5 years. I worked Monday - Friday from 9 - 3.30 I worked in several different areas of the Nursery from the baby unit to the pre school unit. I worked with many different staff and children.

ACTIVITIES

• Helping prepare and take part in range of activities.
• *General care of children.
• Helping prepare break and lunch.
• helping with reading and writing skills.

Best Experiences

• interacting with the children.
• the children relating to me.

Worst Experiences

• not knowing what to do on the first day.
• having to try and make conversation with the staff.

Overall

I think work Experience is a every good idea because it gives you a very good insight into what work is like and how much more responsibility work is compared to school.
