General information on what I did during the placement:

bulletI worked with a self employed plumber in different houses, fitting bathrooms, repairing pipe work, etc. 

Daily Diary:

bulletMonday: Worked at Acton turville in a new extension, fitting a whole new bathroom.
bulletTuesday: Worked at Acton turville again.
bulletWednesday: Had a few smaller jobs. Went to Alveston, moved a radiator.
bulletThursday: Worked at Acton turville again and finished the bathroom.
bulletFriday: Job in Hawkesbury Upton, replacing a heating element in a boiler because of damage from lime scale.

Location and Travel arrangements:

bulletDifferent houses, traveled by car.

Particular skills or abilities needed:

bulletNeed knowledge of water systems in a household and need to know how to use the different tools effectively. 

Health and Safety requirements:

bulletWhen using some of the tools, I used safety goggles, a mask and ear protectors.

Advice for anyone considering this as a work-experience placement:

bulletIt is a good insight to the working environment and is very beneficial. If you can work hard and pay attention to what you are taught and shown then it can be a very helpful experience.

Advice for anyone considering this as a career:

bulletEnjoyable work and very good pay. Good for people that find it hard to work under someone else. Good for self employment. Can't be afraid to get your hands dirty!
