bulletWednesday: Folded some foils and watched how to dye hair. washed a clients color out with the junior apprentice. Got to know more of what hair dressing was about. Did more of the evening jobs
bulletThursday: Folded some more foils, just general making sure that the salon was clean and putting magazines away, made some cups of coffee and tea for the clients. Did the same in the evening as the jobs have to be done ever night.,
bulletFriday:  Washed and styled one of the employees hair. counted the stock and put the products on the product shelves, was a model for the manager to show the juniors how to do GHD curls and what effects you can get, and then he did my hair in curls.

Advice for anyone considering this as a work-experience placement:

bulletThis does not give the full idea of what being a hairdresser is like, as you are restricted to what you can do for example you can't cut or colour hair, you can only watch,

Advice for anyone considering this as a career:

bulletDon't think that it is easy as there is a lot of work you have to do before you can be a qualified hair dresser.
