| I was doing the job of a Junior who is there to make the customer feel comfortable and satisfied, provide magazines and drinks, wash and dry hair, provide all equipment needed by the stylist, and make sure all areas of the salon are in a clean state. |
| Monday: Sweeping hair and providing equipment such as foils and hair irons, cleaning and sorting product shelves, washing and drying hair and mixing colours for stylists. | |
| Tuesday: Filled product bottles, mopped the floor, went to the bank, swept some hair, cut some foils, cleaned upstairs and the staff room. | |
| Wednesday: Sorted the stock room and did a stock check, Met Mrs. Thornton, and learnt how to style and colour hair. | |
| Thursday: Cut foils, Met extra stylists, Filled shampoo bottles, Swept hair, Washed hair. | |
| Friday: Went to the laundry, Swept hair, Clean product shelves. Cut foils. |
| Nailsworth, Drove into work by my mother every morning. |
| No particular skill needed, apart from social as you need to be quite talkative and polite. A good bit of common sense is required. |
| A good clean environment, Washed hands, gloves to be worn when handling colour equipment. |
| If it is what you want to do when you are older then you need to be quite keen and stick through the boring bits to get what you want. Everyone is friendly but you need to be quite socially forward to be able to do this job as you will be constantly meeting new people. |
| This career is really good it isn't that great pay until you get further along the line of styling and cutting and a good reputation is required, It may be boring at the beginning but as you develop your skills further it is great fun. |
