Placement - Evening Post

• Evening Post paper, delivering news to everywhere in the western area.

General information on what I did during the placement:

• Went to court to find out what part the press play on stories involving drugs and fraud.
• Worked in the office taking phone calls to people who wanted the sell things such as cars, etc.
• Used Adobe Photoshop to alter images, then using the images created an Evening Post front page with a story to go along with my picture.

Daily Diary:

• Monday: in office - advertising floor.
• Tuesday: in office - advertising floor.
• Wednesday: Bristol Crown Court.
• Thursday: Ad-creation developing images.
• Friday: circulation, competition winners.

Location and Travel arrangements:

• Temple Meads, Bristol. Car share

Particular skills or abilities needed:

• Reasonable with numbers, focussed.

Advice for anyone considering this as a work-experience placement:

• You get a very good "work experience". Go for it.
