Many congratulations to Year 13 student Robin Pillinger!
After a gruelling week of interviews and auditions at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, Robin has been offered an organ scholarship and a place to read psychology at Queens’ College, Cambridge.
As an organ scholar, Robin will help to organise and deliver all music in the college chapel. Beyond playing the organ and often conducting services, Robin will oversee the administration of the choir, including the selection of music, and the planning of concerts, tours and other events.
Robin is an outstanding musician. He has Grade 8 with Distinction in violin, singing and organ and a Grade 8 Pass in piano.
A very modest Robin said: ‘I can’t pretend that my selection week wasn’t hard work. It certainly was, but the outcome was great and I’m really pleased. Now all I have to do is get A-grades in my A-levels.’
