Katharine Lady Berkeley’s School is a highly successful 11-18 mixed comprehensive with 1470 students on roll.
The school has a long history. It was founded on 20th October 1384 by Katharine, the wife of Lord Berkeley, and has operated continuously since that date. Our school nestles under the southern tip of the Cotswold escarpment, between the town of Wotton-under-Edge and the village of Kingswood in Gloucestershire.
At Katharine Lady Berkeley’s School, we do all that we can to make sure that our students want to come to school, that they are happy and safe in their school life, have good friends and feel confident that they can do their very best. These essential components, combined with superb teaching, produce the vibrant and inspiring environment that enables our students to be successful. They learn effectively, gain their best possible results and receive excellent preparation for their life beyond school.
