Over the last 6 weeks, 64 pupils have taken part in the initial stage of Cyber Discovery, an HM Government-funded extracurricular programme which is an integral part of the UK’s National Cyber Security strategy and aims to develop the UK’s next generation of cyber professionals.
Out of these pupils, 24 have done well enough in the initial screening to have been selected from over 35,000 nationally to take part in the first-ever CyberStart Compete Event!
Before this main starts, the CyberStart Compete Boot Up is running until Saturday 2nd November and contains bonus content that the 13 pupils can use to challenge themselves through an online Capture The Flag (CTF) competition. This part just for fun and won’t affect their progress through the Cyber Discovery programme in any way. But it’s a great chance for them to get a sneak peek of the challenges to come in CyberStart Game and have some fun!
The students have until 1 May 2020 to try and complete as many of the challenges as they can and will be made up of a series of bonus challenges ranging in difficulty from very easy to extremely hard, we look forward to following their progress.
